Color Theory Workshops in January
and March
Color Theory Workshops are scheduled at the McCord House in Orland Park, Illinois on January 29, 2005 and
March 5, 2005 from 2-5 p.m.
These one day workshop are intended to help artists improve painting and drawing skills
by learning about color theory and value relationships. The following topics will be discussed: the color wheel, color relationships,
terminology, color properties, color mixing, and value. Exercises will accompany the discussion to provide hands-on learning.
Each workshop participant will receive a color theory workbook. We will develop a color wheel and discuss a basic palette.
Paints, palette, paper towel, and brush will be provided for classroom use.
